I don't know. I had this stamp set from CTMH that had never seen ink along w/ the matching paper, so guess what?? I had to ink it up! So, with those 2 things in mind, I set off to create my masterpiece. ;) Anyone else start making Christmas cards yet? <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/THE7kkige4I/AAAAAAAAAJM/5r6PAfr1ev8/s320/20100731_153.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5508249318720568194" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-66360863011238299512010-08-01T07:24:00.000-07:002010-08-01T07:31:44.232-07:00Toilet paper roll mini albumI got this idea from one of the nurses when I was in the hospital after having the baby. It is so easy to do & was so much fun so I decided to make a few more. Our friends got married at the end of June & my cousin got married in July. I didn't know the colors of my cousins wedding so I stuck with some basic grey paper that I thought was fitting. Our friends wedding was lime green & teal so I custom made theirs to match their colors. The front "Happily ever after" is from the Cricut Storybook cartridge. I don't have any of the love/wedding themed cartridges so I made it work & think it looks nice. I also decorated the inside of the little pull out tabs with their new last names, etc - all they have to do is add pictures. The tabs are made with the Cricut Bags Tags & Boxes cartridge & are 4". This is a super easy project!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TFWEIfHhceI/AAAAAAAAAI0/-97r2BsyYHU/s320/P6270026.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5500447801229799906" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TFWFPq4ehrI/AAAAAAAAAI8/Qli-7uUYdAY/s320/20100716_25.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5500449024158631602" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-17645669451808943392010-07-01T13:25:00.000-07:002010-07-01T13:30:30.505-07:00Punch artOur challenge at card club was to create a card using punches. I freaked out!! ha ha I wanted to use my ornament punch since I have not used it since I got it last year! Sad huh?! I bought this ribbon at Michael's & liked the colors in it so decided to make my card around it. It is a simple card for me, usually my cards have lots of layers & take forever to make. The flower itself was a little hard to layout to make the "perfect" flower shape, it took me a few tries to get it just right. Once I started to mass produce it didn't take me long at all to make 5 of them. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TCz6BzP4vhI/AAAAAAAAAIs/5gIF6ysNS14/s320/20100617_08.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5489036954701446674" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-58844816050678072112010-06-27T17:12:00.000-07:002010-06-27T17:18:12.453-07:00Hubby's 1st Father's Day<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TCfpZxNXfmI/AAAAAAAAAIk/3JLn9P9xk58/s320/20100617_10.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487611299889643106" />
My MIL came over & it gave me some time to get into my scrap room to make a few cards. I wanted to make something special for my husband for his 1st Father's Day. I just got this MFT die while shopping w/ the girls & I wanted to try it out! I absolutely love it & I am so glad I ended up buying both the scalloped dies. The paper is from The Guys stack I got at J's. It had been out of stock forever but I was lucky enough to find ONE left on the shelf during my last trip there so I had to buy it. I just love it! The fishing stamps are from The Angel Company & the sentiment is from PTI. I sooo love PTI sentiments, they think of everything! I am very happy with the way it turned out & he loved it. :)Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-86863452280766091672010-06-19T17:19:00.000-07:002010-06-19T17:26:57.928-07:00Black & White<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TB1fNbcaTYI/AAAAAAAAAIc/Pe_GLMEHM8Y/s320/20100617_09.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484644605516991874" />
I love the clean look for black & white, and our challenge for card club was to use B&W. I added the red to make it pop! I used my long rectangle nestabilities for the front & then just cut the card to make it the size I wanted that way it would be a little bigger than if I let the nestie overlap in order to make the seam of the card. The "enjoy" sentiment makes it a pretty generic card - you can use it for retirement, birthday, etc all you need to do is add a more specific sentiment inside. I don't know about you, but I do this a lot with my cards because that way I can just stamp it as I need it for whichever occasion arises. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-16455253633215731092010-06-17T12:30:00.000-07:002010-06-17T12:43:53.255-07:00Long time, no post!I haven't posted in a while because our baby boy was born 5/8! :) Life as we knew it has changed drastically so I haven't had much time to play. Today my MIL came & I got to make 6 cards - this is only the 2nd time I have stamped since he was born.

The card I am showcasing I made for our friend's bridal shower. Her colors are teal & lime green so I decided to stick with those colors for her card. I made the cake using my Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge. The cake was a birthday cake but I made it into an elegant wedding cake by using a Cuttlebug embossing folder & some spritz I made from the SU powder in the last mini. I just mixed it w/ alcohol & viola! I took some pictures so you can (hopefully) see the sheen to the cake & also the fact that I popped it up giving it a layered look. Hope you like it<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TBp6UsNPWGI/AAAAAAAAAIM/TC5iNP0YHIQ/s320/20100501_04.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483829992159664226" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/TBp61LZ0n3I/AAAAAAAAAIU/WAuNNhfufSI/s320/20100501_06.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5483830550289751922" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-12222226642817483392010-05-02T06:36:00.000-07:002010-05-02T06:40:19.343-07:00Final take on white cardI finally found out what I was going to do for my white card. I used my new SU SAB punch as well as my Blossom nestabilities. My sentiment is from PTI's Wishing You set. I am happy with the way it turned out.

I am not sure when I will be able to post again (hope soon) but I am due with our baby boy tomorrow. I love the look of all white - so simple yet so elegant! Well, it wasn't so easy to come up with an idea. I loved this sketch off of Taylor's blog but once I put it all together I just wasn't happy enough with the outcome to make 6 of them & give them to all my stampin friends.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S9i_s9Ksp5I/AAAAAAAAAH0/Qk8JCL7zamU/s320/P4280308.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465328926868678546" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-52318442254804339352010-04-05T15:09:00.000-07:002010-04-05T15:13:19.789-07:00My 2nd projectThis was originally going to be the whole project, but when it was done I decided that it just wasn't enough. I thought it would be fun since Easter was coming up. The sentiment is computer generated. I made the "carrot" using my Cricut Bags Tags Boxes and More cartridge at the 6.5 setting. The stem is made from 3 scalloped oval punches from SU. I still think it's missing something but everyone seemed to like it. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S7pgBAvkIII/AAAAAAAAAHs/NE8ijpwXTcU/s320/P3260293.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5456779469008412802" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-6390740661922583732010-03-30T16:15:00.001-07:002010-03-30T16:21:03.671-07:00my 1st projectSince Easter is around the corner I decided to make an Easter card for one of my project this month. It all started with the blossom nestie & I went from there. I always love shaped cards but I always don't get around to making them. I used confetti white cs for the base & then used dp out of my new Flower Shower Spring Stack. I thought the colors were perfect for Easter! The stamp is from JustRite. The ribbon I had in my stash. What do you think? Are you ready for Easter? We still aren't sure which relatives house we will be going to for dinner. I would just be happy staying at home for once! (Our families do not live close to us so we always end up traveling on holidays) <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S7KHR3XInuI/AAAAAAAAAHk/DqrU03ID4yY/s320/P3260292.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454570839687601890" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-67982906577909961772010-03-27T10:01:00.001-07:002010-03-27T10:12:32.753-07:00March card club<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S646a2txCOI/AAAAAAAAAHc/qcUDAxM4vk4/s320/P3260291.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5453360431830730978" /> This months card club I had the projects as well as the theme for the month - since I am due here very soon I went with a baby theme! I wanted to use this stamp I bought for next to nothing at Hobby Lobby. I think he is just too cute! I used neutral colors so it could be used for a boy or girl, even a surprise! I also used my deckle rectangle nesties for the 1st time (here we go again w/ this stuff I had to have but haven't used yet!) LOL ;) Stay tuned for the projects I took for everyone to create.
Sorry for my lack of posting lately, I have been busy trying to get the nursery ready. It is never ending. Things are moving along now & I just have 2 more loads of laundry - thank god! I also have to put the stickers up on the nursery wall but I am waiting a little while longer since it's newly painted. Once it is all done I will post some pics. Hope you are enjoying the nicer than normal temperatures, at least in Ohio!Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-50954479296476150412010-02-14T15:24:00.000-08:002010-02-24T15:19:43.885-08:00February card clubHello! This month our card club started doing something a little different - instead of giving an image to everyone to use we have decided to do a theme instead. This months theme was Birthday. We could create a card using any image as long as it was a Birthday card. I wanted to do something out of the ordinary for me so I decided to do something simple with not as many layers. I also wanted to use calming colors, so I found this color combo on a blog I frequent & thought it was perfect for what I had in mind. I also got to play with my new Quickutz embossing folder (when I say "new" I have had it for a few months LOL.) I am not sure if you can tell by the picture or not but I used stickles on the flowers to add some detail (zoom in for a better view). The dp going through the middle is actually a digi paper I got free off a blog, love it! Thanks for stopping by, and hope you are staying warm! :) <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S3iHopJoUKI/AAAAAAAAAHU/K7pLHsLosZM/s320/P2140016.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438245682360635554" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-83377959936737653362010-02-14T15:14:00.000-08:002010-02-14T15:20:46.889-08:00I am back with a challenge!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S3iFQu1GNYI/AAAAAAAAAHM/kwrunYZw02w/s320/P2140014.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438243072545011074" />
I finally made it into my room to do some creating. I played along w/ Taylored Expressions 100th Sketch celebration. This is for TESC100, you can find the details on Taylor's blog HERE The image I used is by Karen Lockhart and the paper is a new paper pad I got by My Mind's Eye - lots of sparkles, I love it! I had a 3 hour glucose blood test so I took some images to color. I never usually color my images until I have my layout & papers picked out, then I color it to match so this was a challenge for me! LOL I do love how it turned out though. What do you think? :)Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-65593735766290274322010-02-06T16:43:00.000-08:002010-02-06T16:45:11.554-08:00I have been busy!Sorry for my lack of posting last week, I have been moving my closets around & re-organizing them & I also moved my scrap room to prepare for our baby due May 3rd. I finally finished the closets & my scrap room today! YEAH! Now, my husband just has to clear the furniture out of the room & then we can decorate! I am so tired, & hope to escape to my room tomorrow to create something. Hope you are all warm & not snowed in! We have about a foot of snow here!Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-3491743215337458502010-01-31T07:13:00.001-08:002010-01-31T07:28:12.879-08:00January card clubHope everyone is staying warm!! :) This was our image for January card club, from SU's Happy Heart Day. I have the set but never really use it so it was nice to use it this year. There are 6 of us total so we make 6 cards using the selected image. I knew that I wanted to use hat pins - this is my new thing! I saw on a blog where someone was making their own so I thought hmmmmm I can do that! It just so happened to be J's big jewelry making sale the weekend this great idea popped into my head so off I went! I really like how it turned out, and it was really easy to do! The layout on the card was an idea I got from a swap. I kept the card I received as a rough draft that I could measure, etc to re-create. Here is the entire card. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S2WfScTx6_I/AAAAAAAAAGk/mvqu0s-y1-E/s320/P1170003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432923664677989362" /> Here you can see the layers to the card. It is a really cool layout! <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S2WgUoehfpI/AAAAAAAAAG8/GV6e4RSLYuA/s320/P1170006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432924801815641746" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S2WgUfqecbI/AAAAAAAAAG0/mIyTuyszjG0/s320/P1170005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432924799449854386" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S2WgT9naWKI/AAAAAAAAAGs/WIxIngCW9x0/s320/P1170004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432924790310197410" /> I used Basic Grey's Bittersweet paper pad and since the pad was only 6x6 I had to make 2 of each designer paper in order to make my 6 cards. Here you can my group of cards. Hope you like them! <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S2WhYbwbr9I/AAAAAAAAAHE/vn3grPqL_9o/s320/P1170008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432925966632202194" /> I think I am going to head to my room & create something! I am part of a card club, not your normal card club this one is for actually making cards! We get together the last Tuesday of every month & swap the cards we made with the previous months image & also do a project. We decided to skip our swap in December & swapped them last night. This image is from Whipper Snapper. The embossing folder is one of my new ones from the holiday/winter bundle I got off HSN. This was the first time I used it & am very happy with it. I love that the flakes are bigger than the other folders. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S2DusBWmkkI/AAAAAAAAAGc/-rSMIwjR_3Y/s320/P1140001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431603590653710914" /> I have a question for all you bloggers out there. How do I get a "template" so to speak of the recipes so I can post it at the bottom of each of my entries? Is there a way to save it & then just go in & paste it or?? I am new to this so any help is appreciated! :)Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-27367993082581901712010-01-24T11:39:00.000-08:002010-01-24T11:51:02.222-08:00CCEE Stampers challengeHi everyone! I don't know about your neck of the woods, but here in Ohio it is raining which makes it a great day to stay in & create! I played along with the CCEE Stampers challenge CCEE1003. I wasn't real excited on this one, I threw away my first attempt & started over w/ new colors. I am loving these button bits stamp sets by PTI! I was in need of some more sympathy cards to add to my stash & this stamp was perfect. The sentiment is from PTI's Wishing You set. I wish their buttons came in a variety of all the colors so I could have a little of each to play with (I know they do have a variety set but it doesn't include ALL the colors). :( <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S1ykN51TnoI/AAAAAAAAAGU/A9n8SYKQ3aQ/s320/P1240011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5430395809471635074" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-17860414079125498142010-01-14T16:46:00.000-08:002010-01-14T16:51:44.517-08:00Taylored Expressions ChallengeHere I am with a TE challenge (TESC97). I wanted to ink up this PTI set that I bought back when it came out a few months ago! Sad isn't it??! LOL I even bought this paper specifically to go with it & brought it back on the motorcycle all the way from Pigeon Forge, TN! Even worse huh!! ;) I didn't have any red button that matched so I used some round brads instead, I actually like the look of it with the brads. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S0-76uemnQI/AAAAAAAAAGM/k-oBFxfXfkk/s320/P1140002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5426762693587934466" />Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-13005714277569949512010-01-03T09:16:00.001-08:002010-01-03T09:20:48.031-08:00I am back!Hello everyone! Here I am with another project I did for Christmas. I made these for all the girls in my office & also my secret santa in card club. You can find the tutorial on how to make these here <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lPmQXG97kEQ/S0DRdy1GPpI/AAAAAAAAAGE/bFMFPyvCCQk/s320/Christmas+projects+002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422564261144968850" />I filled them with hot chocolate, marshmallows, a candy cane & little paper shreds as a filler.Jaclynhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08394574448347599449noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5174594030721422773.post-16301918662137485222010-01-01T13:54:00.000-08:002010-01-01T14:47:14.652-08:00I finally did it!My New Year's resolution was to start a stamping blog, so here I am & it's only Jan 1! :) I have a few projects to share today, all of them I made for Christmas gifts. So, I made 2 of these little boxes & packed them full of all ocassion cards & even a book of stamps!
